  • I'm looking for cheap ~42c tyres for my Tricross Singlecross (I think this is the safe size in the back, front can take even up to 2.1'') for some SSCX riding in the forests, maybe some racing for fun if I find an event nearby. Not tubeless, for now I would prefer a cheap universal option as I don't want to mess with tyre changing in my secondary bike.
    I am considering Schwalbe Smart Sam 1.6 or Continental AT Ride 42c, Speedride 42c also look interesting but probably too slick for mucky conditions in the winter/early spring. Any other recommendations?
