  • Proper jobs for The Left Behind (at channel ports). Do we think there are 1,500 potential lorry processors living in Dover right now? We should tell them how lucky they are, then issue a compulsory purchase order for their house to build a lorry inspection and holding facility.

  • No, but there's going to be lots of out of work people in the midlands and Sunderland, they'll have to get on there bike and get to Dove. They voted for it etc......

  • Don't you know economic migration is banned after Brexit?

  • Who knew it would be such an immediate success??

  • Non-Guardian readers

  • The DUP was warned about all this, but okthen.

At the same time those crying for a united Ireland NOW aren't quite living in reality either. Just preparations will take 10 years...ROI isn't as stupid as the Westminster government and won't do this w/o a plan.

  • I like TK. Watching you lot get super-salty over a bit of benign moaning in the memes thread, in a forum known for its moaning!, is top lols.

It wasn't benign moaning. When they posted homophobic jokes in the memes thread and I said I was disappointed, as a gay man, they then proceeded to post five videos of Friday by Rebecca Black and multiple crap identical memes in what to me was a pretty obvious attempt to bury my comment and stifle debate. Which given that I was essentially complaining about being made to feel less than welcome on this forum wasn't very nice.

They then followed up with a nasty, transphobic meme. So if you're standing with TKsaladd you're standing with homophobia and transphobia. Which I find personally disappointing as I thought you were better than that.

Most of the time I find them fine but it's pretty hard to overlook casual homo/transphobia.

  • Why this tedious shitwit edgerider hasn't been banned yet is anyone's guess.

  • Tell Fox how you really feel, why don't you?

  • Oh. That's not so good. I didn't see any of that. Those are definitely not the kind of memes I'm here for :/

The frequent name changes are an extension of that petulant and attention-seeking response. I really don't give a shit what combination of "Look at me!" and "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me!" it is (one of the early ones was saltedsalad, which is both). Like a fair number of people, I put the cunt on ignore back then, which would normally quieten things down on both sides, but the constant name changing combined with the continued wind-ups means the irritation continues to cascade through the filter. The creep irritates somebody non-tedious who isn't on your ignore list and instead of your memory seeing the familiar name and just tuning out the irritant, you're wondering "Who's being that much of an arse?" before you register that it's another name change. There are people on here I've practically forgotten exist because of ignore, which makes the forum a nicer place for me and them and everybody else. And then there's this shitlord.

But hey, we're just snowflakes persecuting a droll satirist.

  • The misogynistic and mocking memes are overlooked as long as they are from a long time/prolific poster. Therefore it must be the same for other nasty. Not saying it is right, just what is. Stopped going on that thread a while ago. If you want memes reddit is your best bet as that where they all come from anyway.

  • Does the name change, remove the ignore function?

  • AFAIK ignore hides the posts from, but not the replies to, an ignored profile.

    Could be wrong though.

  • This is correct. You'll see the replies but clicking the 'in reply to...' link still won't show you the blocked user's post.

The user is still ignored if they change their name.

I thought it would be a straight ban (like that guys in the football thread).

  • You can't just ban straights.

  • The milenium bug has been exposed by the Brexit process.
A 100 year old Italian man had to use the app to apply for settled status. When he scanned his passport the system dropped the 19 from 1919 and replaced it with 20 making his date of birth 2019. He was then told (by the system) that his parents had to apply in his behalf.

  • We live in a truly Orwellian age...

  • That’s not the millennium bug.

  • Not being able to differentiate years starting 19 and 20 or processing them incorrectly (mixing them up) is essentially the bug.

  • That is the 2k19 bug

  • Think it is just shit programming in the year of our lord 2019.

  • January 19 2038 is when we're all going to die
