My employer has half a dozen people at a trade show this week along with 20,000 other attendees from all over the world.

A friend usually goes to that each year. He said that a few relatively big names had cancelled but it ultimately hinged on Samsung. My guess is that they told the GSMA they were having serious doubts about going and GSMA just decided to pull the plug.

The GSMA have cancelled Mobile World Congress, the mobile/internet world's largest annual trade show due to coronavirus concerns. Was due to be held in Barcelona the week after next.
