I met a guy today who had mounted a rear rack to the front on a fork with no eyelets. He had 2 disc brake adapters attached to the axle either side somehow and was using them as the eyelets (the second hole was used for a mudguard) and then at the crown he had a seatpost top clamping the two rails that are meant for the seatstay bolted to the crown through the rim brake mounting hole.
