• Do you have Media Markt etc in Germany? I usually find these chains keeps their prices 10% ish below apple. You’ll still get all apple warranties etc (double check that though)

  • Yea, we have them, and also a few others that are focused more on computers and focused more on apple even - and indeed they are usually quite a bit cheaper (prices change a lot these days with 'special deals' and whatnot), but are quite low for the 13" Airs and Pros as I guess they're aware that new models will be here soon..

The warranty situation is more complicated here in Germany (and less in favour of the buyer, compared to the UK, from what I've read in this thread) - we only get one year of guarantee from the manufacturer, so Apple in this case, meaning you should approach them directly if there are issues in the first 12 months (go to the Apple store no matter where you bought the device), and then there's a 24 month warranty (by law) situation which is quite complicated in real life scenarios (after 6 of the 24 months you, the owner, essentially have to proove to them (the seller) that the device was faulty when you got it).

  • Sounds like the same setup we have here in Sweden.

I bought my mac mini direct from apple as I wanted some upgrades, but the MBP before that I got from somewhere else and save £2-300 iirc with no difference in warranty etc

  • Isn't it two year because of the EU?
