Or just get some bikepacking bags. That fad must have passed by now. Pick them up cheap.

2021
On this page - https://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/stories/an-open-road-2020
In 2021, Rapha will launch its first collection of mountain bike clothing, making the most of our design expertise and a new office in a mountain biking mecca, to take the brand somewhere entirely new. More specific details will follow over the course of the year before this exciting new chapter gets fully underway in 2021. Register below to be the first to know.
^A video on that page alludes to that being a decision driven by the passionate focussed team members (Raphaels?)...

Classic winter jacket has had a very thorough test period this past few months. Very impressed with it though. It does mark easily so I'd imagine in 6 months time its going to look ropey. Not keen on putting it through the wash as imagine this will screw with the waterproofing.

It's just dwr spray so you can reproof it.
It will loose some ability in the long run. But washing clothes is a good idea too.
-
• #34059
Haha yes I will definitely wash it. But probably see if I can get away with handwashing it when it needs it. What is the opinion on sports-specific detergent, is there anything in it or is it a con?
-
• #34060
I cleaned mine with the reproof thing in the machine, it's worked out well and has kept the worse out.

I've got a Restrap commute backpack & I do rate it. Carried loads in it, packs down small when you don't need it big, pretty water resistant, decent on the comfort front too.
As a disclaimer, it is in fact me on the website in the promo shots (as I'm friends with Nath), but I got my backpack as a present from my girlfriend.

Have Rapha ditched Manchester to London for 2020? Shame as it looked like I might actually be able to make it this year. No info yet though and it’s getting a bit late surely?

In an interesting twist of fate whilst out to dinner last night the fucking dog ripped the fucking cuffs of my fucking jacket - anyone got any ideas as to whether fixable or not? Do rapha do repairs or anything (as ludicrous as this one)? Aside from folding the sleeves upwards and sewing back on, not sure what else to do, can’t really do with losing an inch or two of the arms...

Nope.
-
• #34065
have it tailored into a sartorial dog jacket, take it on holiday up Ventoux and become instafamous?
-
• #34066
I don't think Rapha 'fix' dogs.
-
• #34067
Just make it short-sleeve and pretend it's a mi-saison jacket. Isn't there actually provision to do so on the pro-team rain jacket or something?
-
• #34068
Cut the sleeves off entirely like that one jacket they used to make
-
• #34069
Get a new jacket.

• #34070
Definitely get a new dog.

Change dogs?
-
• #34072
Turn it into a rain gilet
-
• #34073
What is the difference between the pro team and the brevet insulated gilet? Is it just the fit?
-
• #34074
Brevet has insulation front and back, pro team has no insulation on the back and instead has a thinner breathable fabric.
Also PT one has jersey style rear pockets, Brevet has a couple of side entry, zipped pockets only

Why were you out to dinner with your dog?
They’re great, but if Mission is the Rolls Royce, Restrap is probably a Mercedes or something similar.
I know that some people don’t like MW because they’re heavy and over engineered. You may find that the Restrap actually fits your requirements more than a MW. MW is also super expensive in the UK. Buying Restrap supports a growing, domestically made business, so that’s good too.
