Fucks sake. Fixed it in about 30 seconds.
Hammered the pin back in and then took apart my chain tool and used the retaining bolt bit to hammer the chain link back to flat around the pin.
8 fucking years that was on my todo list.
Just read your old post and was gonna say hammer the fuckers in, but you've realised hammers fix everything by yourself.
Yeah, it's a temporary fix really. It'll let go again if I ever have to use it on a stubborn cog. One day I'll get the M4 bolt I need but for now this will give me that vital 3rd chainwhip I really need... ;)
