Reader’s wives.... the hornet is on its third chassis and second shell. The eagle eyed will notice that the Rising fighter has the front bumper mount from a hornet chassis grafted on... both are on their third paint scheme. First was per the catalogue, second was sick fadez, this one is go faster stripes.

Good choice. Shell is unpainted though, not black as advertised, so make sure you get a can of spray paint.

Placed an order today for the essential bits for the 201, guy at Modelsport was very helpful (as they all are), but couldn't believe I was going to thrash around (with a bit of racing) a 201, explained it's had a long and productive race career, now it was time for it to run free of the restrictions of competition, he was rather quiet after that?
Hobbywing 10.5t and xerun esc, savox servo, some paint, some tyres and a little tool kit. Should all arrive tomorrow, then just gotta sit back and wait for the car from France. -

Ooh, excellent, was eyeing up the 2 tone pink/gold iridescent for pimp vibes.

I'm just looking forward to seeing it! And besides, like bikes, these things are never really finished.

Yeah considered that myself, order another can, white I think to back it, or maybe black, can't remember which.

I must put this thread on ignore
One of my friends was showing off his nitro 4x4 and I keep eyeing up things on modelsport right now.

I promised myself no more but I want this... I only have one road car (Audi A4), so it seems justifiable as I need another to race against...

Just found this thread.. Awesome.. bringing back lots of memories from 30 years ago when I had a Tamiya Terra Scorcher and my brother had a Thunder dragon. I now have an 11 years and he has a lunchbox.. Obviously it has been fully ball raced, ESC and a Tamiya sport tuned motor.. He also has a Traxxas Slash 2wd, which is a monster.. Although back then you had to wait 14 hrs for a single battery to give you 15 mins of fun..

Those were the days. Had to plan your fun a day in advance, no spontaneous enjoyment allowed in the 80s.

Even worse when you hit a kerb after 2 mins and broke a chassis leg!!!
