Don't go down the rabbit hole! I've gone from buying a pretty basic Tamiya kit (DT 02 Sand Viper) to buying a pretty tricked out race buggy in less than a month. Must admit I did race buggies in my mid to late teens, so have some previous experience.
Have a look, do some research, I'd say stick to Tamiya to begin with, very user friendly, and the build manuals are so easy to follow, plus we're always here to guide (help you spend your money).
Be warned, it can get quite addictive!

I’ll have a good read over the next couple of months and if I’m still keen I might dive in.
Having no rc skills I’d want something that could take a knock or two lol.
