Thanks! Yeah, one is a bowl and the other a pestle and mortar.

3d printed a new version of the fork bag holder. wont test it until Sunday but this design and material should be much better.

I said you'd be getting unsolicited advice -have you considered spreading the load over a greater area around the fixings? Something compliant to accommodate the curvature of the fork (I've used tap washers, filed to fit) and maybe repair washers immediately under the screw heads?
-
• #1155
Designing it to fit the curve of the fork is hard (for me). Washers under the bolts is good shout though.
Not having the foot means I need to make more straps but currently can't find my webbing.

You don't need to be exact - the rubber will deform to some extent, and it should be possible to file a bit more off the 'high' spots where it touches - if you're thinking of commercial production, include the phrase "file to fit" in the instructions. Here's one I made while waiting for tea to brew...

I recently restored an old singer 201k sewing machine, it was pretty dirty and not working properly. It just needed some minor electrical repair, oiling and grease everywhere as it was bone dry, cleaning, reassembling the tension adjuster and hook retiming to get it to stitch properly.
After sorting that it works perfectly, it’s very basic but superb quality and very strong. I’ve never sewn anything before but needed a bag and @user71349 inspired me with the bags he’s been making.
Got on eBay and bought some supplies and made this roll top bag, it’s pretty basic it’s just for carrying stuff to work with on my bike.

Very nice, but where the fuck is the machine!
I'm seriously considering a new Juki, either the 2010Q or 8700, which is actually a couple hundred bux cheaper and comes with table, motor and lamp. I need to confirm whether it comes with a servo or clutch motor, because speed kills y'know. -

Would help wouldn’t it. This is the machine. The last of the old fashioned machines singer made. Mine is from 1957 and made from aluminium. Apparently post war time there was a lot of scrap Ali around and it also made it lighter. Straight stitch only but it’s all hardened steel mechanically. Will probably last forever this thing. It’s tough.

That's a beauty for sure. Bothof the ones I'm looking at are just straight stitch as well, I'm moving from a late 40s Singer home machine.

Nice one, so out of interest, the new one you’re looking at, if it’s still straight stitch only, will it sew leather and tougher materials?
-
• #1163
Still straight stitch, I think the 8700H would do pretty robust materials, the 8700 is considered more of a light to medium weight machine.

That looks superb, and I don't just mean for a first attempt. Is it waterproof/water-resistant? (I assume so.)

Nice work, looks like you done this before! The bobbin thread don't look like it's threaded properly through the slits though (or that was just a mid shot photo?)Coincidentally I just bought a cheap singer 185k to play around on

thanks, first go but I make and restore things all the time so I'm fairly good with my hands.
it's cordura with fabric on top and for the lining, what ever is inside will stay dry at least.

thanks, the bobbin is threaded right (I hope), it's kind of opposite to a lot of other machines in a few ways though, the bobbin is set up different to many from what I've read and the way the needle is threaded is right to left when others are front to back.
something I want to ask with your bags, you put like an edge around a lot of your panels, do you just literally fold something over the edges and sew them down or is there a better way of doing this? It makes your bags look pro doing this but I can't figure it out for certain

For leather and heavy duty you'd likely best have a true walking foot machine. Check out Harry Rogers on youtube, he has some good stuff on which machine is best for what.

Loving the bag..looks very neat.
Stick it on the sewing thread to inspire people. -

Nice, I can see myself believing I need something like that (unnecessarily) in the near future.
Can you show some photos of your work?
Very nice.
I guess the bowls in the background are yours too?
