I love my t-level. I've had it for years and it's still going strong.

@Señor_Bear this one is a bargain at £450

They're nice as daypacks or a weekend away but they're no better than something cheap for cycling with I'd say.

Is the rapha commuter jacket any good. Will be used for commuting and I do favour a more relaxed fit.
Is it at all breathable though or will it end up a bit clammy? What kind of temperature range is it for?
-
• #34033
Yes very. Used daily and, although I travel light, I barely feel like I’m wearing it. Even use to transport laptop while riding if I must.
Lots of pockets and compartments and very weatherproof. Came with a cover but I’ve never felt like I’ve needed to use it. No ingress even when faced with absolute pissing rain. Got a bargain though at £75 black Friday 2017.

I rate mine. Got it cheap off Rapha's ebay store, and it's been excellent.

@Bainbridge yep the rucksacks are good, worth the spend overall I think. Prefer mine for cycling compared to mission as it’s lighter and has better compartments. The mission, the rambler I have anyway, I find is like a sack, as is the Ortlieb (the Day Pack looks ok though).
Carradice or panniers are great obvs but the ones I’ve had again lack compartments and don’t work well once off the bike in my experience. I use them on a standard office day but if I’m meeting a client and need to casually disguise the fact I cycled then I use the backpack.

Rates it for commuting. Also doubles as a weekend bag

t-level
This. I've got a MW something or other and the T Level beats it into a miserable place easily
-
• #34043
Is it at all breathable
Apparently it's not at all breathable and no vents, which I kinda get, but for a standard non breathable jacket, other than branding why would you?

Appreciate this is the Rapha thread so you probably don't want to hear this, but the North Face Recon is the best commuter rucksack I've ever had. Tons of capacity, barely notice it's on your back, great for storing all the usual nonsense that comes with riding a bike around

Yeah more zips than a micro.cc's summer 'steed'

@bainbridge are you looking at the newer packs, or the older ones? The ones mentioned picking up cheap/in 2017, might well be the older style not available any more
I can vouch for the older ones, although if you’re hauling heavy loads one generation of bigger version had strap durability issues
I like my Mission Workshop, think it’s a Rambler, but as someone says, it’s a bit of a bucket ...and weirdly has three different types of opening for all the same type/depth of interiors. I’ve made these adaptions;
-shortened the rolltop laptop sleeve to stop the laptop hitting the floor - also helps distribute mass inside the bag
- sewn in a smaller interior pocket at top of main compartment. Will put some more detail like a slip pocket and pump loop in here when I have time. Depending on what you carry, this might not be a problem
- Shortened straps/finished ends with elastic ...first few times I used I found I was being slapped on the backside by lengths of nylon webbing (maybe this is an attractive feature for you)
- And I bought one of the shoulder strap pockets to keep lights in. It’s can be quite a convoluted process to open the pack via the two zips and find lights in the cavernous interior
- Also been meaning to silence the 4 jingle-jangle zips
Overall, it’s super comfortable, extremely well made bag. I love the variable capacity, have carried huge loads but also zips down to a relatively convenient size too. Yes, they’re expensive but they’re absolutely worth it. It’ll probably be about long after I’m gone.

Also @Bainbridge I visited Restrap last week, have you looked at their range? Anyone got experience of using one?
V impressive setup, products look solid
