Running news: 2 actual runs this week (5 & 6 miles) plus running to the gym and back (3 x 2.6 miles) on consecutive days. No foot pain. Yay!
Rowing news: 10 sessions in two weeks. 11k inc. 4 x 2k (all <1:50 pace) this afternoon. Might have another go at a 10k TT next week, see if I can get under 37 mins.
I could be up for a parkrun in the not too distant future if I can get running quickly again without injury flaring up. South East please! :)

I'd run with you Damo.
You'd drag me around which would probably be good.
I'm not doing any parkruns though, and Thursday eve just won't happen for me.
I sound a bit inflexible...

You're not doing any parkruns at all?

I'm up for a year of parkrun tourism as well.
My local is palace or Dulwich. -

I've done junior palace one, would do the proper one minus the kids.
Did Dulwich with a double pushchair and a mullered achilles

Last week I drafted a buggy pusher up the hill. Then needed to take 10 seconds to recover.

Drafted them into the wind.

Any recommendations for the best yoga type stretches for runners? I’ve done videos before but would like to just plan out a 10-15 minute routine I can do everyday.

This is an example of one of ‘Yoga Studio’ app’s runner specific sets. I quite like that app as I’m a yoga novice and it calmly talks you through the poses in a reasonably detailed way.

This week I blocked a buggy runner on the final run in.
Still didn't go under 20 at cp. -

Dorney lake half marathon today, official pacing sub 1:40... went a bit too quick (1:38) but pushed on my group with 2k to go and put the brakes on a bit, they all finished ahead of me, biggest pb of 7 minutes!

Brilliant!
That's what you'd want isn't it? Someone pushing you on. -

Yeah I guess you just get used to moving in zombie mode. Much like parenting!

Brecon to Cardiff ultra today. Storm Ciara in full swing. Could be interesting.

Delayed start because a bus full of runners broke down (they bus you all from the finish to the start). Works in everyone's favour as the weather is due to improve as the day goes on.

Good luck. Sounds like it's going to be character building out there.

I went to the shops and thought about all the people doing sports out there today.

I’ve been running three/four times a week for five or six years. I’d like to go up to five days a week (Monday-Friday) and not run on the weekend (just had a kid so time limited).
I was thinking of three slow runs of three miles and two harder runs (sprints Tuesday and and 5 miles Thursday). Does this sound sensible?

Managed a good 45 minutes out in the wind and rain this morning. Gore Shakedry is great.

Character building alright!
Very windy for most of it despite being mostly a lowland route, very rainy for most of it, so much standing water, through the River Taff where it had broken the banks at one point but the highlight was going over the pass (I forget the name, heading south the main Beacons are above and to the right of you) the wind was strong enough to stop you in your tracks and the rain/hail was trying to flay you alive. Brilliant!
7:21 finish time. Be interesting to see what the drop out rate is. Saw a guy at the half way checkpoint who looked mild hypothermic. Shivering uncontrollably. His race was over but he seemed pretty philosophical about it all.
