That bike would've sold for 250 plus easy if the seller wanted to bother with eBay. So it's hardly an issue in this case is it? Some people who can't differentiate between the spirit and the letter.
I absolutely agree with discouraging profiteers and dealers in particular. Plenty of bikes here posted at delusional profiteering prices though, and often posted elsewhere too, they're just sensible enough not to say they've done it. Similarly some forums have a rule or etiquette that you'll not hoover up bikes and bits posted there to resell elsewhere but it's very hard to police.
eBay cross posting is sometimes problematic, less so gumtree but I don't really see the issue if it's on retrobike or another cycling forum too. We all love bikes.
