They're nice as daypacks or a weekend away but they're no better than something cheap for cycling with I'd say.

Yes very. Used daily and, although I travel light, I barely feel like I’m wearing it. Even use to transport laptop while riding if I must.
Lots of pockets and compartments and very weatherproof. Came with a cover but I’ve never felt like I’ve needed to use it. No ingress even when faced with absolute pissing rain. Got a bargain though at £75 black Friday 2017.

Appreciate this is the Rapha thread so you probably don't want to hear this, but the North Face Recon is the best commuter rucksack I've ever had. Tons of capacity, barely notice it's on your back, great for storing all the usual nonsense that comes with riding a bike around
