Gameplay was just too samey- in retrospect it’s like Doom - but with all the fun stripped out.
Think I just watched someone’s YouTube explanation of wtf was going on in the end.

There was a distinct "Wait, this is it?" feeling after about 3 arena fights. Didn't help that it took a decent length intro before you got there also so it felt like it could have been good for a while
Edit: also, in case it wasn't clear, my previous response was suggesting that not finishing it was a totally valid conclusion!
