My local CLP went Starmer, but the talk in the room and the members was a 30/30/40 split for Starmer. (Thornberry didn't even get a mention)
My own feeling is that Starmers a familiar comfort blanket for a lot of people "he looks Prime Ministerial" (does Boris? Fuckloads of people voted for him) "he's good at the despatch box" (is Boris? Fuckloads of people voted for him) etc etc
Don't think Starmers an election winner in the current climate. 20th century politician in an 21st century fight.

KS is running away with the CLP noms, Rayner even more so in the deputy race. I dont think there will be too many surprises in April at this point. Hopefully as many candidate as possible get on the final ballot tho.
