Think you’ll struggle with boost hubs on your upside down forks
-
• #28
Can someone tell me asap if these are a good deal?
-
• #29
Do either company do the volume to make their own rims / hubs?
-
• #30
Formula hubs I guess. Don't know about the rims

Is 44mm inner width too wide for a 2.6" tyre?
-
• #32
Little bit, yeah
I'd use anywhere from 30-40mm, depending on the tread pattern
-
• #33
Frame apparently will fit a 2.8 or a little more so I may just go for those wheels
-
• #34
He won’t take less than 185. Not sure what to do. The Mavics are the same price but a bit narrow, these are a bit wide, maybe something else will come up cheaper

Scored an unused 150mm boost Rockshox Reba on eBay for £160 so that’s fork sorted

Just too late seeing this to sell you my forks sadly but I have most of the bits you are after, will reply properly when I have more time later if you are interested:
Boost wheels, SRAM guide brakes and NX/GX eagle drivetrain, all new (taken off a complete bike). Some 2.8 Nobby Nic tyres as well.

Awesome, very interested. There is a budget which is not too high so I may not be able to take all of it but I'd like to hear details

Ok here is what I have:
SRAM Guide R brakes including rotors and bolts (180F 160R) - £120
GX R Mech, NX shifter, crankset, chain and cassette - £150
Formula Boost Hubs on WTB i29 rims, taped for tubeless - £130
Pair of Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.8 tyres, one Pacestar one Trailstar, both Snakeskin casing - £50All new, I think these prices are pretty fair so don't really want to start haggling but if you want the lot for those prices I'll post it all for free.
Any questions fire away and happy to email pictures of you wish.

Thanks for that.
Can you give me the details of the groupset please. Speed, cassette range, crank length & teeth etc
I'll leave the brakes but might be interested in the above and the wheels/tyres -
• #41
Ok no problem, it's Eagle so all is 12sp, 11-50 cassette, 175mm arms and a 32t chainring.

• #42
Hi mate, PMd you but no reply so far. I'm interested in the groupset. Are the cranks/chainring boost too?

Currently I'm at:
Frame: Marin San Quentin
Fork: Rockshox Reba RL 150mm Boost
Front wheel: Nukeproof Horizon
Brakes: Sram Guide T
Handlebar: Renthal Fatbar Lite
Stem: Renthal Duo 40mmStill need:
Rear wheel 12x148
30.9 dropper
Groupset 11 or 12 speed, boost crank/chainring
Tyres 2.6-2.8 x 27.5
Slim flat pedals
WTB saddle
10 Speed sram mtb stuff is good and fairly cheap these days. I'll volunteer to build wheels if you want to get these rims^ and some cheap Novatec hubs?
