  • I'm looking for a bit of advice please. I found a watch that I like on eBay (Longines Admiral 5-Star Automatic Diver). But the seller is lying about how long he has owned it for... (he bought it 3 months ago (eBay completed items history), and is saying that he's owned it for a year). I politely called him out on it, and he's ignoring the question / saying that it'll sell whether its to me or someone else.. Is it a reasonable deal at £420? or would I do best to avoid the seemingly dishonest/dodgy seller? - his IG is: ni_addictive_guy2182

  • Depends.

Have they lied about it? If so avoid.

It's hardly unreasonable to say; "bought it and didn't like it/need the cash/etc." and then say the price is higher because; a) he got a bargain, and b) needs to factor in Paypal and postage, etc.

If they've just ignored your msg, then I don't think there's anything inherently dodgy. But as Howard said, if you've got a bad feeling you've already got the answer.
