  • I suppose it all comes down to budget. For me, the extra £250 is worth it in return for the nicer design and screen. Don't get me wrong, the Inspiron is a good laptop. Its just that the XPS is one of the best laptops.

  • I am hearing that the i7 of both the XPS and inspiron really do overheat and throttle quite often.

  • Just looking and its really a case of form factor - with the XPS13 being a similar price to the inspiron 15.

    Since the 13inch currently has further discounts.

    The £800 quid will be i7 512ssd and 16gb ram.

    Laptopmag says I'll get 12 hours of battery life from it vs a little more from the inspirion.
