This is how the bolt looks :

Yeah it's a (rubbish) rubber wedge. I've never got mine to adequately hold a seat post. Ask in the Look thread; someone there will know. I reckon it just needs some wiggling. Maybe the rubber has perished/gone gummy and stuck to the post?

Thanks. Will do.

Have the same bolt in my KG241. No rubber though, both parts are metal.
Not had one seize but there should be enough room once you fully unscrew the bolt (and remove it entirely).
If it's really stubborn then I guess some lube/patience/hammer/screaming will work eventually.

Thanks. I got it out but the whole thing had seized and the post was scratched. I've smoothed out the seat post and ordered a new bolt. Hopefully this will sort it. Thanks for your help.
On another note, i'd like to change the handlebar grip as well as the tires. Any suggestions to keep in tune with the look and era of the bike?
Hi everyone,
I've been having some trouble with a LOOK KG 251 seat post. It won't budge up or down even though i've loosened the screw. It turns a bit from left to right but no height ajustement possible. Am I missing something or is it just stuck?
Thanks for your help
