Haven't used the XT2 but onboard camera microphones are generally really bad. It will probably be usable but it won't sound good. The subject brazing whilst talking obviously will be worse, keep the camera close to subject when speaking for better results. The Rode VideoMic Go is a hotshoe mounted mic that is cheap and will give way better results if a well presented output is required as opposed to rough and ready.
It's for submission to the small claims court, literally a video of someone brazing that is needed to answer a submission from the other side, so any observations made by the framebuilder need to be clear, but that's it.
