Looks good; where did you get the ply from? Considering trying to make an alcove desk and haven't turned up any good supplier so far
-
• #19878
I got mine from builderdepot.co.uk along with a load MDF and other things.
There were a few knot fixes but it was good enough quality to rip top, bottom and front without any blemishes.

Id suggest heading over and hand picking a board if it's for furniture. Quite a few of the 15 sheets I got from them had the aforementioned patch fixes. Up to 4 on a face. Some had none at all.

Cheapest kaldawei steel bath we found was builders depot.

Richard Russell for ply, though they do have a £100 ex VAT minimum. They're BB/BB grade has been consistently better than other suppliers I've tried.

Very neat. Does the front flap down?
-
• #19883
Yes. All the way across. Has 4 compartments for all the stuff

More pics if possible.... Looks great

Only other pic I have is with the record cabinet in view...
Bit too dreary today for more photos.

Is there no space for the toilet under the stairs?
-
• #19887
It looks great but I find it unnerving, just like that new cantilevered building in Stratford.
Something that big just looks like it should be on the floor. How is it attached?
-
• #19888
It’s attached with two french cleats (either side of a set of plug sockets).
Both cleats are attached with four plasterboard wall anchors; each rated for 50kg of vertical force.
It’s not going anywhere...

I've got loads of bits left over from refurbishing the flat, for e.g. bag after bag of copper plumbing elbows, 40mm pipe fittings, shower fittings, soap dishes, bags of tile cement, actual cement, the list goes on and on. I can't bring myself to throw it away as so much of it is new, but equally I can't be bothered to sell it as I hate selling stuff.
If anyone would like to help themselves to this stuff it would help me out, and I'll make you a cup of tea whilst you pick through boxes. There is some truth to the rumour that I'll try and put bike parts in your bag when you're not looking.
So! Come and get stuff, please.

You need a list.
And some photos. -

copper plumbing elbows

Stumbled across this yesterday, was sort of bemused. I can't quite picture it being robust enough for much.

Have seen such (in pics) but much more often with iron piping.
Tchotchkes and no more I suppose. -

Tchotchkes
I had to google that
-
• #19895
I had to do the same for spelling.
Tchotchkes, that is. -

I've been viewing a lot of houses recently.
All Victorian/Edwardian terrace with pretty much the same footprint.
Most have a downstairs bog, generally under the stairs, occasionally in the kitchen. Anything with a toilet in the kitchen is discounted to take into account you really don't want a toilet in the kitchen.

We have our bathroom OFF the kitchen, does that count?
Whenever I used to idly design my own tiny house I would always have the bathroom and kitchen back to back to minimize plumbing mess. -
• #19898
It depends, is there a wall separating that toilet door from your kitchen?
-

When are you about?

WFH Monday, Wednesday, not sure about the end of the week.
I need to install an extractor fan in my bathroom. The best position is that furthest away from the door right? I'm just wondering if it's worth installing a secondary vent just above the shower also, but not sure if I can be arsed or whether that would even work.
edit: vent will be in the ceiling, inline fan in loft space, tile outlet already fitted in roof
