As far as I know, the magnets only hold the hexlox IN...the key relies on its fit to be able to pull them out. Hence they seem to lose their 'grip' after a few uses.

the key does NOT use magnetic force to remove the Hexlox, there is a mechanical bond.
I'm still confused about this mechanical bond though. how does it work so subtly?
