Use a coin and a bolt and nu combination to open up the clamp. Works like a charm.

Not easy at all, but managed to do it in the end. Stem has a small hex bolt to open up the clamp, but even with this feature it was a very tight fit around the corners. Grease, swearing and patience did the trick. A small wooden wedge can also be helpfull to open up the clamp. To do it without scratching your bars is Utopia.

Rad bike as always but kinda disappointed that you stopped propping up your bikes with your trademark stick.

: ) I had two frames with unknown origin, so I put my daughter's name there, on the TT 80' before she was born 6 years ago.
For me to remove an original stickers on nice parts is a sacrilege but I take note of your remark thanks ! -

wow really like this one! (removing the wheel logos could be "nicer looking"?)
what do you think of the vision wheels? i am guessing Vision 35? -
• #125114
Vision team 30 comp. I would advise the vision team 30 though, as the bearings run much smoother + also body seems to be better.

So the C16R is too small for doing anything over 30km as the saddle to bar drop is massive + twitchy handling at speed, so it can get some knobbly tyres and go to Epping when it dries up.
I am cycling to a festival in Portugal in August so this gate (23”) of a rockhopper with a 62cm TT will hopefully build into something more suitable. Just have to go and collect it from north wales first.

Nice bike stand, more info pls?

I had this exact size and model. Builds up lovely. Getting a pair of On One disc forks for it made it brilliant for Epping for me. Maybe do something similar and get it set up with threadless head set and more options in bars and stems...
Here with Kona P2s:
And post disc tabs and paint with On One forks:

DIY headset wasn’t pretty but it did work. Unfortunately the new headset is the wrong type. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to pick up a cheap JIS one from somewhere.
Also had to DIY a persuader bar onto my wrench to get the old BB out - took a 5ft curtain rail to get the job done. Slapped some parts on to have a look see and it might turn out alright!

Was it easy to fit the deda piega bars into the quill stem?
I tried once and didn't manage it - too scared of multiple scratchings!
