It is! Thanks, hadn't even considered that... Thought I'd solved the problem with the spare key but it's just done it again!!

Testing the water here to see if any non-Londoner would be interested in my Jeep Cherokee. It's a diesel, bought when that was what we supposed to buy, but soon to fall foul of the extended ULEZ - hence the sale. I was going to give it to my niece, but she's not ready for it yet.
It's a 2.8 CRD manual, 06 plate, in black with grey leather interior, with a little over 62K on the clock.
The good stuff:
-Genuine low mileage
-Regularly serviced
-Never been any issues with its MOT
-Newish tyres
-New battery
-New oil sump
-Replaced the window mechanisms on both rear doors
-Just serviced the power steering and replaced a leaking pipe
-Jeep tow bar recall has been done
-Will throw in Thule roof bars and a Halfords roof boxThe less good stuff:
-The sun roof drains on these have a tendency to leak into the car, unless you clear the gunk out of them, which is easily done by removing a small panel and using a track pump - which I do each year
-A couple of bits of wobbly exterior trim, that I'll fix
-No parcel shelfNot a sexy car, but a proverbial "workhorse", genuine 5-seater with a decent boot, reliable, etc. I'd keep it and run it into the ground, were it not for the ULEZ. Next service and MOT due in about 6 months or so, but I'll confirm.
We Buy Any Car value it at £1,715, and there are higher mileage/older cars on ebay and Autotrader at that sort of price and more.
I'd be happy to sell it someone on here for £1,200, with a £50 forum donation. Happy to take photos, or arrange a viewing, if there's any interest.

Admirable pricing but why wouldn't someone just buy it from you then sell it on webuyanycar?
If you do that yourself, you could donate even more the to forum!

I'd bite your hand off if you were in Oz, that's so bloody cheap... Hope all is well...
You gonna bother replacing it?

Because people on here have a conscience..?
In truth, I'm sure wbac would start finding reasons to reduce their value once I make an appointment - I assume that's how it works - so, on the basis that they drop to say £1,500, I'd rather save the hassle and give someone on here the chance to get a bargain.

Maybe the forum longtimers but if the classifieds section is anything to go by...
Agree on the hassle of WBAC though. Unless it's perfect, they knock a lot off on inspection...

Dunno, I might, but with the kids growing up (Lola's away at university now and Alfie will follow this year), I don't need a car as much. I might just revert to hiring when I do.
I've got a £25K Ducati in the garage anyway (it's just not mine)...

Yep, which is why I put it in here first

Did you ever get around to riding it? I'd love a go on a V4...

Not yet...
He's putting another one in there soon, so there'll be an opportunity.

Perfect Shire wagon, Shirley?

Nice. It'll be a couple of years before even the V2 will be cheap enough on Autotrader for me to consider but they look incredible.
I'm keeping an eye on the 959 panigale used prices at the moment but they seem to be holding...

yeah and for towing the racer.
bristol are banning diesels next year, though. that might be an issue.

managed to cadge a lift in @Markyboy s Jeep this time last week. it's in wonderful nick and is a great car. can't believe he is letting it go for that price but applaud the move if it stays within forum.
I would be very tempted if it wasn't for the fact I am going to keep a hold of Cynthia's old BMW SE touring and use that for swapping bags of ivy cuttings with bags of horseshit and other country style stuff

I'm pretty sure an iconic forum member having sat in the passenger seat adds 10% to the sale price

^^I'd just like to point out that all the most iconic cars have a bucket for the driver and a standard seat for the passenger.

He didn't, but he took me for a tour of the country estate in the Fiat

Don't go very often, but travelling from Scotland to Bristol a few times a year. Is there a free park and ride? Or is it a case of quietly dumping it on some suburban street just outside the zone and then riding/getting a bus into city? Up here they are putting ULEZ zones into the centres, buses and taxi companies get a 2 to 5 year amnesty to catch up with cleaner vehicles.

- No. 1199 or nothing. Why would you even get a Panigale without a single sided swing arm?
- RSV4's are shockingly cheap at the moment.

Would that be a warranty claim? Normally you get 3 month statutory warranty with used cars when bought from a dealer.
