On the sports watch chat. Here is my Q&Q which I just replaced the battery on.
My OH bought it for my birthday when we were traveling.
Originally she'd spent ages chosing a cool Casio sports watch with tide function and multiple time zones. Unfortunately it was stolen from my parents hotel in Peru when they were visiting us before she could gift it.
I still needed a watch as I was wearing the broken strapped waveceptor on my jeans beltloop, and we spotted a shop in Santiago. This was cheap, had a 2nd time zone and lap timer. Plus a nice big display.
Nothing special, but I like it. Some later research showed that its Citizen's economy brand for developing countries. Still feel sorry for her though for the watch that went awol and the effort that went into it.

Said it before, and I’ll say it again. I’d be happy to facilitate this.

What is the closest to a Phenomenato you can get this side of the pond? $40 isn't too bad, bit starts to get pricey when you add shipping, duties.

Timefactors ones are pretty fine weave.

The new Christopher Ward C60 1000 looks good.

Apart from the hands, index markers, logo, trident, bezel, and day-date. Can't fault the lugs or strap.

I saw that in Loupe... it does .
I’m used to the font now, like the flags.
Blue is nice too , and I think the bracelet is titanium .
I have a yellow 316 that I rarely wear but IMHO they are put together well and the Maidenhead store is worth a visit .. no pressure selling .
I wonder why 1000m is ever needed though -

The date is fine , but I agree with the day .
It makes for a too big box .
All the other criticisms could be valid , but if you like , you like .
I don’t like watches with moons on , but some love ‘em -

IIRC it’s 42mm which is a better size for most

I think the day date looks good.
I like that it's framed and in the same colour as the face. Gives off that clean IWC feel.
It's an awful photo from which to judge the watch, but overall it's solid imo.

Marketing and to showcase what a manufacture can do.
In reality a true 30m is all that's almost ever needed. 60m if you want extra meters just in case.
Be curious how many people have taken a dive watch to >30m.

I had some issues with the new logo when it came out, but it really grew on me, I'm a big fan now.
Looks great on that strap! -

He can't do it, betcha...
I haven't got a collection like Dov's but I'm ready to sling most of mine out... Most of them are rotten anyway, I threw six pairs of Jordans and SBs away before Christmas...

It's funny, I love all the objects in that photo and use them every day... I get a bit panicky without them about my person... The stainless steel plectrum is a bit of a prop, I don't use it that often and it was just sitting on the coffee table...

I really like that Citizen every time I see it. Pure tool watch vibes.

Those buttons are familiar. Is this your job?

Yes, but don’t tell anyone. It’s hard enough to keep this thing hidden as it is.

A fun game for electronic music hobbyists to play is spotting the instruments being used as “control room” set props in film and TV.

Niche but I appreciate the inside joke aspect.
I'll go to ebay, I think I'll get one for £50 which will be OK.
