  • Yeah but in 5 years it'll still be running like the day you bought it, unlike a Dell which will be lucky to still have the screen attached.

    I've used Dells for work (not my choice) for the past fifteen years including a lot of travel and had no issues with them breaking despite plenty of bashing about.

    For a four year old laptop with a dated processor it seems incredibly pricey.

  • Any of the ones with the butterfly design are now under the extended warranty program. So if it breaks you can get it replaced for free. That said I know they're a major downside.

    It's a 4 year old laptop but considering they've only just updated the design it's not exactly out of date. The current ones still use an i5.

    I'm not saying that's the best deal on one you can find, I linked to that one because I bought my latest Macbook from that shop and I know they're not a scam. To buy an equivalent one new with 16gb ram and 500gb hdd it's £1,879.00.

  • I have to agree - my work computers have always been dell and they have taken such a beating and they're still running fine.
