  • extra 20% off atm including the Bootzipper

  • @edscoble must feel mugged off

  • Nah, that's the 650b version which doesn't have boost spacing and the frameset is cheaper than the 29ers version.

  • 29er Bootzipper frameset -25% currently with promocode.

  • Scandal WIP. Should probably finish this bargain bin build, alas I can't find anyone with a Cannondale/FSA chainring tool to fit the new 1x ring to the cranks...

  • tumble dryer under the stairs is it?

  • Bagged a London Road for sillycheap before Xmas. They assembled the fork in the dark apparently so I’ve had to wait til now to fully resolve it and put a commute in. Loved the simplicity of the Apex single ring and it was surprisingly forgiving of shitty winter potholes. Fun ride in. It’s a good Kilo heavier than my last commuter though!

Wondering whether there’s any sense in swapping out the heavy seat post for something carbon... might be daft as I’m running panniers and will probably end up sticking 38s on it for full pragmatabike set up.

  • Save about 3grams... just ride it! Wheels will hold the most weight

  • That it is - condenser mind. Much fun smashing through that wall..

Slide out draw unit thing to left of it also WIP like the bike!

  • Er...Am i reading this right: Bootzipper 29er frame currently £149 with various codes?

  • That's it, I'm ordering one.

Will be for relaxed riding. 5′ 10, medium or large? No idea as I have no mtb right now.

  • Might have to sell my Charge Cooker 0 to fund this, which is a 650Plus singlespeed. It will fit 29er wheels but its nigh on impossible to get 29er wheels for a 135mm hub. Although its only about 2/3 years old, it would seem its already out of date.

Mind you, i love that Charge, it's a great winter MTB ride, but I don't know if I can be arsed building up something else from scratch. Costs and time will soon mount

  • ...just realised i probably wont be able to run singlespeed on the Bootzipper, No rear drop outs and no room for an EBB, so no means to tension chain. Or am i showing my complete lack of up to date knowledge?

  • Magic gear or white industries hub have been your go to solution for the age old problem of singlespeed on vertical dropouts

  • Scratch the wi solution, don't think they're already making 142mm through axle solutions

  • thansk @Rodolfo, Magic Gear it is then. New concept just learned!

  • How is the sram stuff on the bootzippers? Already have shimano on another bike so don't want to invest in other tools for maintenance if that's necessary?

  • Let alone 148mm for the 29ers that can accept maybe 2.8 650b rear.

  • Trick Stuff Exzentriker will work but expensive and not all cranks fit them

  • Would a 2.8 650b fit on the front?

  • 2.6 clear really well, cannot guaranteed 2.8 will tho.

  • My winter bike, an old Inbred 29er LTD with Alfine 8.

  • Nice!
