I thought that was the whole point of MWS...
-
• #18953
I'm not sure they can do it for an indefinite distance!
-
• #18954
They only have to plot a lap of the course.
-
• #18955
I'm sure they could do an estimation, but their whole thing is weather changing over time and where you will be when. With different numbers of each circuit etc it probably wouldn't be accurate enough for their liking.
-
• #18956
They just plot whole route. Then leave it up to me/riders to run the estimations for different times of day. It's a hell of a lot better than not having any route at all.

I'm going to try to ride a few 100s this year. I haven't done one for 5 years so I have no LTS.
Back when I was riding them, hardly any of them filled up but I think things might have changed. Anyone know which ones I might have a chance of getting in to, ie which won't fill up? -

Just look at last year's start sheets for a guide. Hounslow in May looks a safe bet as a starter, less than 80 entrants in 2019

Fair cop - I was being lazy, I know I could do that but wondered if it was common knowledge.
Good (for my narrow personal reasons, not for the event, the club, for the fortunes of time trialling, etc) to hear the Hounslow doesn't always fill - I think it did a couple of years ago when I last planned a 100 comeback - but maybe that was just one year when it was the National.

The 100 on the E2 usually fills up.
-
• #18962
It's probably the fastest 100 course so anyone with BBAR aspirations will be riding it.
-
• #18963
I'm planning on it.
-
• #18964
I don't have an LTS any more so probably wouldn't get in anyway, but I don't really care since I'll only be using 100s as shakedown rides for 12hrs this year.
I may still throw an entry in anyway since there's not that many 100s I can actually ride. If I enter with no LTS I assume I'd get a refund for no ride?

Yes, if you're rejected you get a refund.

I'm in the same boat as you hippy, no previous time but keeping my fingers crossed. Plan is to ride all the ECCA events, hopefully get in to the 12 hour.
-
• #18967
If you're in ECCA it should be somewhat easier as they get priority. I'm not though, it's just a convenient course. You shouldn't have any trouble getting into any 12hr I'd think, unless they suddenly got popular while I was away...

i've a no pinz trip suit from 2016, do people buy these 2nd hand, if so, any idea what its worth?
Edit stuck it on TT forum for 75.

I've got a NoPinz suit from 2015. I got the small size. Worn once. I doubt I could get into it now. I hardly could then, and couldn't if there was any sweat on my arms.
I'll watch and see if yours sells! -
• #18970
I was 70kg back then, more like 78kg now. The old days are long gone.
As are all my LTS times.
-
• #18971
Welcome to the club. I'm just as fat as back then, but with not LTS except my 25mi PB.
-
• #18972
I actually have a 10 LTS from BUCS event I did last year.
But the desire to ride up/down D.C. for fast times is gone. I would like to do some more sporting time trials. And perhaps some real long TTs ;)

I'm planning on racing the NRHR, maybe Hainult Hilly and the LVCC E1/25 in a month or so, pending hand recovery, all on a road bike.
-
• #18974
NRHR
Do it on TT bike it'll be fine. Great event. Wrong side of London now.
-
• #18975
The only TT bike I have is strictly for going up hills. About as aero as an onion and it doesn't stop. NRHR have a road bike category now anyways.
I've ridden the E1/25 on various bikes, even a janky steel track bike, so I don't really have a target apart from enjoyment. Have a PM now though so I am interested in setting a 1 hour power PB.
Except half the 12s and the 24hr is apparently an ECCA event this year...
I've emailed them.
