• Good question.

I've been to a room once at someones house, where there were quite a few types of running shoes with various sizes - all brand new. I don't think it was a collection but rather a convenience for the guests. To me just a spare shoe room is an abstraction.

  • I still have a sneaker collection worth £000's and they're like a fucking albatross around my neck. I pay nearly £100 a month to store the things, never wear them, can't face selling them and dealing with the pricks.

I wonder if the watch dudes every get to this state?

Do they go up in value by £100 a month or more?

People collect stamps for a reason I guess; easy and space efficient to store. Watches are kinda similar in that respect so they probably don't feel like a burden although I'd imagine the insurance bills are somewhat spicy.

  • I wish I could say I feel your pain... Sounds like a serious collection!

  • Investment? Or now investment by definition?

  • Do sneaker collectors buy sizes that wouldn’t fit ?

    Always wondered

    Same.

Are all of yours the right size? Or do you allow yourself a size either way? Or do you just buy size 9 or whatever the most common size is? Or size 7 to resell to rich Chinese students?

  • Said it before, and I’ll say it again. I’d be happy to facilitate this.
