I'm missing one of these but need one. Do I have to buy this specific one, or is there a knock-off/DIY version I can use?

..not worthy of a build thread, another bloody Arkose. Still faffing with stems and position before I'll tape the bars. Happy with this afternoons Hope District rear light bodge.
It's a long way from bike porn but making for a great commuter.

I‘m looking for a 48/34 crankset for my current build. Are there any of the shelf options or do I need to get creative?

M8 that rack ..

Yeah, the mudguard gap at the front needs to be addressed too.

Shimano have a couple of options that could work.

Front guard is as close as it gets, will find a way to extend the clip on the fork crown as it's not very functional. A mending plate should do it.
Tried to mount the rack on the QR as nature intended but clashes with the guards... Should try harder.
Could drill some holes higher up to make it lower? That or get a cargo classic and move the disco to another bike. It was was a bargain thanks to @amey. -

It’s fine, gap should be bigger there than by the flap.

Project “road+ Sunday best” is go... R7000, open pros TL to hope, 32c gravelking+.... I love my Donohue road 853 but it only clears 23 and the roads round Yorkshire just beat the shit out of me, been scheming for a while about something like this and things have fallen into place. excited.

Is that the one that’s been on eBay for a while? V. nice indeed.

It is indeed, was ordered and never collected/paid for. Pretty niche frame but just what I was after (now I’ve replaced the fork with the whisky) and literally could have been made to measure for me.

I love the lugs and paintwork. They're in-house/signature?
Edit: just realised that it's not lugs per se, hur still nice with cats

I’ve never seen the little tab on the head tube before. Presumably to take all the cable wear so it doesn’t scuff the paint?

Great, now I'll have that tune in my head the rest of the weekend.

Thanks!

A mending plate should do it.
I'm sure SJS or your LBS will have something for you. @withered_preacher gap ahead of the fork yes, but not after.

Woodrup / Kevin Sayles are really underrated IMHO.

This is awesome, great touch with the cable scuff plate on the headtube

That front end looks amazing. Reminds me of Cherubim.

@dexter @SWijland cheers. Woodrups was where my first bike that wasn’t pulled out of a skip was bought, they’re a bit of an institution with great heritage and a huge amount of experience, but for some reason they do seem to fly under the radar a bit. I’ve actually recently started working there and I’m hoping we can raise the profile of the shop a bit, they do some really interesting work.

Finished this one today: Martelly (Belgian frame from Martens - who builds frames for Jaegher at the moment) with a Shimano R7000 105 group. Vision wheels, quill stem with Deda Piega bars.
