You’re right. Plumpton had been pretty horrendous, but Wivelsfield (the following season?) took it to another level. I’ve never spent so much of a race with the rims fully underwater.
Yes, Plumpton was 2013, Wivelsfield 2014. The same organiser too I think, Mark Tearle?
That was definitely the wettest race I've ever done. Another grim one was at the alternative Cyclopark course, Badlands, in 2017 I think? Was so cold after that, it took me days to warm up again.
