FS: Rourke 653 55cm x 55cm (project bike) SOLD

I am selling my old Rourke 653 frame. It’s not been used in a couple of years but with some TLC someone can enjoy it as much as I did!

Listing this as a project bike for two reasons:

• The bottom bracket needs re-tapped as the non-drive side was cross-threaded after a service (pictured)… A local bike shop should be able to sort this. If you wanted to replace it, I’ve spoken to Winston at Varohna Frameworks (https://www.varonha.co.uk/) who’s said that he can replace the BB. I can vouch for his work as he replaced a toptube on another Rourke of mine and the finished result is honestly flawless.
  
• It needs some parts of the groupset (brake callipers, new chain and potentially new bb + cups). Also needs new headset bearings which I can supply.

• Campagnolo Athena carbon shifters
  
• H+Sons TB14 rims on Ambrosio hubs (bought from Kinoko).

@Chak I’ll have a look tonight. Do you know what sizes specifically you’re looking for?

@Chak it currently has 25mm tyres on. You could probably get away with 28mm but I wouldn’t go larger than that.

The other option for the threaded BB is send it down to Argos in Bristol who will machine out the damaged section and braze or glue a new threaded insert in.
This retains the original BB shell.

My sister had this done on her bike last hear and Argos did a brilliant job.

Most good frame builders could do that I imagine....Dave at Colour Tech in Dartford would use the services of Geoff Roberts.

great, so just for clarification, for 175 it's everything in the photo? i.e. f&f, wheels, drivetrain, shifters, stem, bars? If so leave it with me for a day or so and I'll give you a definite answer. I'm in se27 so easy enough to come and collect. Cheers.
