Fairly alarming
Yeah, needs heli tape to protect the paintwork, particularly underneath that zip tie

When you don't want to pay 40 euros for a new bracelet.
Works better than the original and there was maybe one or twenty inner tubes laying around

Does anyone have any experience with chopping and welding an insert into a steerer tube to make it longer? (like the attached but for a road bike)
I am surprised to have not found a thread about this yet to be honest.

Steel steerer?

This is a very clever solution. Seized seatposts was something I came acros a lot a couple of years back. For me the big problem was always how to prevent the seatpost from twisting when in the vice. Wish I had known this back them.

If I buy a 142 hope hub with an XD driver, will I be able to run a 10 speed cassette on it? Can you switch the driver out for 10s?
-
• #1295
You can buy different freehub bodies, but they ain't cheap if you're thinking of getting the XD one to save some money, I think the axle and end caps should be fine as is.

Cheers guys. Thank. Will have a look. Hopefully a lab tech is a master with the weld and can help. Thanks.

Looks pretty good! I broke my chain whip the other week, this is giving me some inspiration.

The storm blew away a section of the roof of my shed yesterday. Used some bottom bracket cable guides to cover the holes. So far so good.
