  • Yoooooo!

Thanks for looking at this post. Im considering selling my fixed but not sure how much its worth.. If i could get some advice on this please?

Basic breakdown of the bike below:

Bianchi Super pista frame & carbon forks imported from Brooklyn, size: 61cm

Wheels are H+Sons rims on Shimano NJS hubs hand built by Bicycle Ambulance in Cambridge

Sugino 75 NJS Crank and BB (will have to double check gear ratio)

Rear cog is Ananta Taiwan gold

Seat post and stem are thomson elite

Selle San Marco Saddle, black.. I also have the rhino leather as well (never used)

Bars have changed since this photo, they are now the Nitto "for shred bars" in black, brought back from Blue Lug Bikes in japan, never been cut so still 750mm wide.

    Pedals and cages not included

    Thanks for your time.

  • This looks like a £1200 build new? Looks good condition in the pic so I'm sure you'd like to hear that £800 sounds like a reasonable price but it really depends on who's looking and how keen you are to sell. It's a unusually large size which will likely limit your target market. So you may get people offering £500-600 without them thinking they're taking the piss. Just my opinion so maybe wait until you get a few more quotes before you make your decision but don't confuse lots of generous valuations with a bidding war. Hope this helps even a little bit

  • Oli sold me a similar bike just last week for £145 if that’s anything to go by.

  • Surely you'd end up with £500 even if you break it up as parts? Or maybe I've been paying too much money for bikes and bits all these years.

  • Split it and get
£300-350 for frame and fork depending on buyer / urge to sell
    £2-300 for wheel set
    £130-180 for chainset/bb

It won’t fetch a fair price complete, builds never really do.

  • Breaking it down i agree with TM on his estimates. Those frames inc fork are available for £500 new so £300-350 be realistic for that possibly a little more if its in perfect condition and £30+ a piece for your bars, stem, seatpost and saddle. All of the parts especially the wheels are really nice quality and should be desirable to anyone building a similar bike so should all sell for what they're worth pretty easily. If you can be bothered with the extra faff of splitting and posting/delivering/meeting multiple times and getting the money in dribs and drabs you will most certainly get the most money in the end. Not many similar super pistas around at the moment for direct comparison but they are on a par with the many cinelli vigorellis and mash's for sale. There's a couple on the forum both full bikes and splitting so maybe take a look at those too for a reasonable guideline.

Right you are, didn’t realise, so £300 probs reasonable

  • Thanks guys! Great help.
