Sounds like a job for Jtek shiftmate - compatibility chart. SJS sell them and you can kind of double-check your choice in the comments/Q&A section.

Shimano MTB 9 speed mech works fine with Shimano 10 speed road shifters. Used this combo for years. There is a tiny, tiny difference in the mech travel but not enough to cause a problem. I have seen the recommendation that best set up for the centre of the cassette with the shifter on the right click, but I never bothered with that.
I also used an MTB 9 and 10 speed front mech with the 3 x 10 shimano shifters and it worked fine. Last mech I used was M780 I think. I have found front MTB mechs to be quite forgiving when used with different levers

Hey, any more info on that bike? I've got the same frame but mine isn't converted to discs. Would love to know more about the bike/conversion.
Also never thought of putting the rack on the back (I had it on the front but it does tend to foul the brake, so I took it off).

Whats going on with the bar bag setup? Can’t tell from the pic if it’s a normal rixen kaul or something you’ve modded/bodged?

Any idea if there's a way to get ultegra 3x10 road shifters to work with an mtb xt/sram/middleburn drive train?
I'm really hoping there's a work around like a problem solver widgit or another hack. I've just double taped the bars and can't be arsed to rip it all off again.
