Seatpost clamp is a great shout!
You can get versions without a lip and with flat top and bottom surfaces like this Nukeproof one.
Spacer off, seatpost clamp on, stem cap on, tighten stem bolt delicately for pre-load, tighten seatpost clamp. Done.
