First calculate the time saving you'll achieve by lightening the frame by 2kg, which is about the difference between a very light crabon frame/fork and a common butted steel one from the 1950s or later. About 1s per 100 vertical feet on a 20% slope, a bit less if it's a longer shallower climb. Is that enough to justify the expense?
Cheap and light carbon frame for a hill climb bike - any recommendations, or do you think I'd do better going 2nd hand and known maker rather than unknown crabonz?
Light, stiff and cheap, I'm looking for. So not asking for much...
