  • What's the go-to way to find tickets to a sold out show these days? Back when I lived in London I'd just show up at the venue and hope to find someone selling outside. I live well outside now so don't want to risk it. I'm after 2 tickets to Black Country, New Road on the 4th Feb.

  • Have you looked at the event page on Facebook? I’ve found people selling tickets that way before.

  • But be very careful with these as many are scams!

I rate scarlet mist as a face value resale site but I'm not sure what their range is like for less mainstream stuff. Gumtree also good but similarly beware scams...

  • Yeah the events page has comments turned off on Facebook, I found a ticket trading group which I'll try though and I set up a few alerts on reseller sites. Annoyingly found some for their show this Thursday but I can't make that date.

  • Is there anybody that has a Roundhouse membership or could help with getting tickets on the "priority" or "advanced priority" please?

Hoping to see The Big Moon as part of the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival, however it's in the "slacker space" at the roundhouse which looks tiny. I'm worried the tickets will sell out before they hit the general sale, and after missing them play at the lexington a few months back due to illness i'm really hoping to get this chance to see them play a small venue. (i've been enjoying their new album quite a bit as well!)

Either way, the lineup has some great acts across the weekend, definitely worth having a look and seeing if you're up for any of the gigs or club nights.

    Cheers!

  • Ended up finding some tickets on a fan group for the band on Facebook. Bloody great gig, they’re so tight for a new band that has only recorded 2 songs. Definitely recommend seeing if you get the chance.

  • Eric Copeland at Cafe Oto tonight was good fun

  • Finally some action being taken against the touts, although not closing down viagog/stubhub:

Also, The Napalm Deaths were good last night.

  • .

  • Anyone interested in the Bay Strikes Back - Testament, Death Angel, Exodus? Next Friday, Kentish Town Forum - we have 1 spare ticket.

  • If you still have the chance, don't miss the Birds in Row x Alcest x Kælan Mikla tour, afaik there's still a few gigs left. Fucking phenomenal mashup of different styles and cultures, and all three bands played insanely well.

  • I have 2 tickets to DJ Shadow tonight at Brixton that I can no longer make. Face value £31 each, offering them at £20 each if anyone’s interested?

You’ll need a ticketmaster account so I can transfer them to you.

  • DJ Shadow

Was at MCR last night, very good show. Plenty of bass and awesome visuals.

Sorry you're missing it but hope someone can make use of your tickets & my review helps someone take them!

  • Great line up
    (Unfortunately it's on Facebook)

  • Great gig tonight from This is the kit, at the Royal Albert Home

  • This is lovely, great shout! Very peaceful.

  • She's low key
    Great voice
Would have liked more banjo :)

  • Would have liked more banjo :)

not something you often hear but I agree 100%. Charmingly ramshackle in the presentation, really enjoying it.

  • not something you often hear

    Q banjo jokes

When she started gigging (she's the sister of a work colleague from cycle training uk) she mainly played banjo.

  • First big gig (~6,000) in NZ since lockdown ended there happened earlier this week. Live music will come back here, but who knows when ...

  • Starting to get emails/texts to say that gigs are cancelled rather than just rescheduled now, must be an absolute nightmare of a time for bands and venues with the refunds going out. Holy Fuck and Mogwai in the last two days, expecting more to come. Hard to keep a track of what's on and when now with anything I had booked over the year. Hopefully they're all able to set up a new set of dates. Mogwai have said people who had tickets will get a priority for next time around so that's good. Had continued buying tickets over the months in hopes that it would be a way of supporting artists and venues with a continued revenue stream, perhaps that was naive of me to think.

  • Most of mine from early in the year were moved to Sep-ish but have been pushed into 2021 now. I'm not sure any have been cancelled yet.

  • Lewsberg gig at the Moth Club was moved from April to Sept 21 and wasn't cancelled (with a refund) until the very last day.

  • I've got tickets / money for Squarepusher, Swans, Solange (£££ box seats) & Squid still sitting with the venues. Some are being pushed to mid next year (still seems unlikely) and some are still scheduled for October some time.

At this point, i'd rather just have the money back but I definitely don't want Roundhouse or Royal Festival Hall to go bankrupt.

  • Was meant to see 808 State at Earth in March but obviously that was postponed, received an email from SeeTickets to say they would update but haven't heard anything since. Same with Newen Afrobeat, heard nothing from TicketWeb other than they will be in touch as soon as possible, imagine it could be tricky to rearrange a band coming from Chile but still a bit annoying so much silence. And So I Watch You From Afar was pushed back to October 2021 and 65daysofstatic to November 2021 so hopefully they will stick. God Is an Astronaut was moved to April which I'm less hopefull about, and Porridge Radio had been moved to October and then again to March which also looks unlikely. Squid at Printworks in April was announced in August I think it was so guess there was hopes that it would be able to go ahead fine, but again, not sure if that will be so. Los Bitchos looks to have been rescheduled across two days in February as well when I'm sure it was only originally a one night show for London so looks like they've spread the tickets over two days, could have been they announced a second night before then anyway though.
