Talking of cordless ‘Dremels’, I’ve just taken a punt on one from Lidl with a massive set of accessories for the total of £30. Might be shit but it has a three year guarantee and it’s not likely to get loads of hammer as I’m only likely to use it for polishing etc.

Happy with mine. I have a wired one too (from Aldi I think) which never gets used as the nature of the tool just doesn't suit being wired.

Saw these the other day, was quite tempted. Let me know if it's not total shit?

Buyer beware the Lidl dremel. I broke mine. First one sounded really nasty when the motor ran so I returned it. Second I snapped the tool tightening thingy, so pushing the button does nothing. I think it has a very low end locking pin assembly inside.
Course, snapped after 30 days thanks to minimal use.
Accessories have worked fine though!

Might be worth stripping apart to see what the crack is. The spindle lock on my Dremel 8100 started slipping recently, I took the whole thing apart, used pliers to hold the spindle to get it loosened, cleaned everything, put it back together and did the screws that hold the housing together up a lot tighter than they'd been before I dismantled it and it works fine now.
Think the high frequency vibration of the tool had rattled the screws loose which was allowing the spindle to move away from the locking pin.

For sure. I think it’ll be a tiny little plastic pin that is sheered at the button assembly. May still strip it down and see as it’s no use otherwise.

no barometer no elevation though

• #3770
True, but ideal for some I reckon The lack of info is part of the appeal and where I am, you know you're climbing a lot w/o seeing it in real time. Too many people spending most of their time looking down at the Garmin rather than head up for my liking

No power meter talkability either.

No idea if there will be bargains but Isambards have got a sale going live at midnight.
