  • Picked this up dirt cheap last week. So far the plan is to get a second set of wheels for commuting purposes.

  • Nice project

  • How long is that stem? Is it Paul?

  • Audax TT MK2.

The last one had a crack in the top tube. This one is small do fits a little better as well. Built up some Mack/farsport/cx-ray wheels. I'll take it for a test ride later.

P.S. Don't tell the wife a bike is in the living room...

  • Figure it would be worth taking a picture outside while it was clean.

  • Bike looks better in the living room:-))

  • Looks rapid. Doing any big Audax’s this year?

  • I'm doing some ECE rides and hopefully the crackpot if I can get a spot. I'm concentrating on my 7 day LEJOGLE mainly.

  • 110mm 7 degrés Paul Boxcar

  • Quite elusive Cannondale steel stem. Mid nineties product.

  • Thanks for reply. Will keep my eyes peeled on the bay

  • Shiny new bars and some other bits arrived for the Orange... for some unknown reason I thought the Surly bars were also 75mm rise (they are 83mm). Did 20k or so on it today and it feels ok but need to do a longer ride to confirm.

Next job is to get some warts added to the fork so I can mount the rack.

  • Ooh, what sort of rack is that?

  • Simworks Obento

  • Set up this Univega hybrid I was given by its previous owner because she couldnt throw it. Her LBS wouldnt fix it anymore and she said she wanted disc brakes.

Have basically kept the frame, the headset and the seat post.

Stupid i know, but hey, i like it.

  • Nothing stupid about that, looks ace

  • I like it! Probably a more sensible frame choice than the similar build I’m doing at the moment with a 90s road frame with not much clearance and no eyelets for racks!

  • Thanks! If it turns out i really like it it might get a pair of nice and shiny fenders. Gonna need some work to get them to fit the chainstays though if I am to run tyres this big.

  • Thanks! Yeah thats the reason I decided to go all this way. Think it will make a nice commuter/tourer. The frames pretty light and the 38mm gravel kings are great so far!

  • Her LBS wouldnt fix it anymore

Why not? Sounds weird, I've not heard of a shop doing that before.

    Looks great btw

  • I dont know the person. This is what she told me when i met her for the pick up..

They bb was fucked and they stripped the threads on the cranks.

Think the lady was the only owner of the bike and ready to treat her self to something new.

  • Bi-Axial PowerOval tubes, yeah? I'm building up one just like it atm. Do you know the seatpost size?

  • Exactly! Poor mans Fairlight, hehe. I can measure when I get the opportunity.

  • Anyone got a wound up fork to sell?
