This was tasty and, according the chef, very easy to make. Thanks!

Those Linda vegan 'sausages'? Amazed to see in the freezer cabinet of the only-shop-in-the-village where I work. Bought a pack and microwaved two (only have a 'wave) and in a pitta, surprisingly good alternative lunch (rather than beans...)

This was a resounding success tonight. Up’d the chilli a bit and added extra soy sauce at the expense of the salt. Really good!

I must be a shit cook as my attempt resulted in a claggy bland mess - maybe I used too much PB...

Ha, I couldn't offer any thoughts as I was sitting on my ass while it was being made. But we did add salt and chillies to the recipe.

We never have less than three boxes in the freezer

Wait till you discover the Richmond ones, Linda will be as dead to you as she is to Paul...

No worries, even better when it's been made for you!

Ah crap. I used 60g of peanut butter if that helps. Also put some salt in and cooked the onions in a little oil .

Made these at the weekend. Very happy with the results, and actually not that hard!

Something a little different...
I need some formal non-leather dress shoes for a black-tie event, I have some smartish shoes from the Third Estate that suffice for most scenarios but they're not going to cut it for this one.
Any tips? Reluctant to spend much as they will likely be worn only once.

If anyone's into their shoes... or want's a good pair... just found out that Grenson are making vegan boots and shoes for men and women... expensive but they're gonna be well made and they're bound last you years.

Pierogi are really easy to make, but actually filling and crimping each dumpling is a right old faff. A Polish relative made some for me with sauerkraut, finely chopped mushroom and lovage, and they were stupendous.
Here's one vegan dough recipe I've used.

I got some from River Island for my brother's wedding. Worth checking some high street places!

Cheers, hadn't even considered that as an option

M&S do some vegan friendly shoes that are quite cheap.
I’ve bought one pair of wills vegan shoes and love them, if I got smart shoes I would shop there

The dough was just 300g of strong white flour, 200ml of boiling water and half tsp salt. Make a ball, leave for an hour, then split into the and roll out really thin.
The filling, you can literally make it up. I did one batch of shallots, shitake mushrooms, savoy cabbage and a few spices. The other I did fennel and aubergine, plus paprika and seasoning.
Dice it, fry it up, then finely chop or stick it in the food processor.
As for the faff of making them, treat yourself to one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dumpling-Maker-Ravioli-Pierogi-Former/dp/B01CPF6GBE/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?keywords=gyoza+maker&qid=1579720742&sprefix=Gyoza&sr=8-15
