  • I recently acquired a Brewista kettle adding another variable (temperature) to my Aeropress recipe.

Around 93°c seems to be the sweet spot for most coffees but what's really interesting is how vastly different a cup can taste depending on temp. Anyone else have any experience with playing with temps with the Aeropress?

    My recipe is as follows
    Inverted
Double filter (rinsed with hot water)
    16g medium fine
    230ml water
Pour all water in, stir, wait 1.15mins, invert push through until hiss.
    Finished at 2.15

  • Only on the cheap work kettle for my aeropressing so not worrying about temperature yet...
    Why the double filter?

  • Not playing with as such, but at my old office we had boiling water taps that were not very boiling at all. I'd leave it to brew for 4 minutes to get somewhat close to the cup I'd get at home with a kettle. Now at my current work it's 3 minutes as again, it's a boiling water tap but slightly more boiling.....

American's just don't get how to do hot drinks.

Slightly late response, but where did you buy the Brewista. Can't see any for sale anywhere?

Or are there alternatives worth going for?
