i have exactly the same problem. My green and silver panasonic that was stolen (2 pages ago) turned out to have been painted gold (including tyres and crancketc lol ) and sold for £30 and a rock of crack...
Some people are anabsoute joke, the only way I know this is that the bloke who stole it is now in prison and a local told me. no way of getting bike back ever.... :(
