  • I know! The concept and the tail were pointing it in a great direction, but now I think it's going to be a super elaborate version of his rat bikes from back in the day.

    Wasn't sure about the rectifier cover, nor why he didn't source a cooler rectifier and relocated it (a mosfet rectifier swap and relocation is common for the aircooled bonnies).

    @M_V

    No way to join steel and brass?

    I think the point wasn't well articulated, but he's talking about brass mesh. You'd know better than me, but wouldn't there be a risk of blowing through the brass mesh if brazing?

  • I too thought it was going off-piste when he made the reg-rec cover. Don't normally get too annoyed about anything, let alone on the internet... but he's obviously got the skills to produce something special but the often simple stuff like clean styling are obviously subjective...

    That rat bandit 'Damage' comes to mind with the mask mounted on the front fairing, I think his styling taste would be best described as 'Robot Wars'.

    Ha! That's pretty on the money. But then the street fighter looked sick at the end... altho I guess there was still a touch of Alien about it.

    @m_v - that's the thing tho. If all your experience is mig then brazing something delicate might be a hard place to start.
