Or as in the last time I took over a medium sized team, the former boss had fabricated accusations against five people forcing them to resign or be fired by senior management. And they wondered why attendance and morale was so low.
In one instance, the previous manager had claimed that he was assaulted by a colleague. I smelled bullshit, spotted a CCTV camera that might have captured it and managed to prove that it did not happen. Its amazing how blind to a rotten situation people can be.
