  • user Orc on TarckBike forums built or modified those frames/racks. They're a person with a very strange fit and style, but always entertaining.

  • French functional porn deluxe ;) from our friend @kmerone

  • Late to the party but I laughed so much at this.

  • Probably had this before, but damn is it good:

  • Instagram friendly!
    Jokes aside I love it.

  • shimano have discontinued their mid drop brake, I’m pretty certain the pull ratio wasn’t right for the newer shimano levers anyway - anyone know if there’s a new design of shimano mid drop due?

Or has anyone found a mid drop that works well with r7000/8000 levers?

  • Custom ti, by the frame builder, Le Vacon.

  • Shimano work fine with the older brakes, not like going from canti to v difference tho?

  • Previously I had 7800 brake and lever which worked great, I swapped to 5700 lever and 7800 brake and there was no power. Swapped to 5800 brake and it improved again. So if mixing r7000 lever with that old mid drop brake will be the same as 5700 lever and 7800 brake, that’s not satisfactory for me.

  • Do mum bikes with a racing cross fork and a rear rack, chopped down handlebars, budget 1 x 10 set up, fit the bill?

  • Don't ask me! Sounds incredibly ugly though, you should definitely share.

  • Ugly?
    I'll see you outside.

  • Readers. Not a huge fan of the flat risers I’ve put on.

Thinking of getting some Ritchey Kyote bars and chopping them down to 750ish. Do I need a longer stem for more swept back bars? Currently got a 90mm on.

  • My fav swept backs are about the cheapest available, so trying something out should be extremely low risk, even lower if you find an old set which are ubiquitous.

  • They go by a myriad of names, I search them out mostly by shape: I look for about a 50mm rise, 550 width and a sweep in the 45º range. Always steel, sometimes cromo, always shiny... I've tried so many Nitto and other bars but always go back to these, though starting a few years back when people here were laughing (a little) less at my choice for upright bars there was (and is) the criticism that they're too narrow. Not my experience, though I do have narrow shoulders.
Wald, Pyramid, Zoom, Hsin Lung, Dimension, Sunlite et cetera.

  • I actually have some on one Mary’s in the shed.

Reckon I need a stem a few cm longer?

  • I reckon if they're in your shed it shouldn't be too hard to experiment.

  • Wider bars generally equal a shorter stem, so the sweep might be offset by the extra width.

  • This.

Best to just put it on and see how it feel first before changing stem.

  • Moved to somewhere hilly and now my PreCursa isn’t the best as a daily hack.. Looking for a 26 in (ideally) steel MTB frame with disc mount and uni crown fork to make a functional daily. Does anything like this exist? Anything like this exist? Otherwise will just go down the converted retro MTB and forgo the discs.
