I've run mine with 355mm ERTRO 18" wheels and it's been fine. Of course the 18" description is a tad misleading given that the rim radius is a mere 3mm larger than the 349mm wheels used on a Brompton, but it is nonetheless technically an 18" wheel. Even if it measures much less than 18" in diameter.
