Big day in the Peaks taking in Snake etc is more like 8-9,000ft of climbing. What were the stats when they started from the Sheff side last year?
We did ~100km with ~ 1900m climbing, I believe.
Snake Pass has some nice views, but I imagine it's pretty dangerous to ride in a large group.
That’s a hard day on fixed.
I don’t think Snake is particularly picturesque personally but it does lead to some lovely roads out on the Yorkshire side of the Peaks.
You want to be riding it early on a weekend unless you’re a fan of a close pass from a lorry.
