Does anyone in east London have a Russian Blue? Considering a new flat mate but we’d like to see if the tales of hypoallergenicness are true.

Is he your cat now? Or is he just staying in to stay dry and warm for a bit?

Settling the case, Ms Lesbirel has promised not to feed Ozzy cat food,
tinned fish or meat, and will not remove his collar. She has also
agreed not to put him in a box or basket, or invite him into her home
unless he is making a disturbance at the front of her flat, in which
case she can carry him through and put him out back. -

He has a few homes he visits. I started working 4 day weeks recently and he's figured out I'm at home on Wednesdays so has starting coming that day. Other than that he usually only comes to visit at the weekends.

While climbing in a relatively remote part of Switzerland last week, we saw one of these. We reported it to the local authorities as they are super involved in their conservation and we were asked not to disclose its location to anybody for fear of it being shot by farmers.
Sadly, they're down to about 20 in th Alps. On the other hand, they were extinct in the Alps only a few decades ago and numbers are slowly rising so there is hope.
Just have to convince farmers that they don't need to shoot the things. From what I've read, they kill livestock exceedingly rarely and farmers are compensated for losses by the government anyway. Amazing how entrenched old views are...

Wow, that's amazing. I presume that's not your photo?
-
• #9739
Nah, no way. Turns out its quite hard to take a photograph of something camouflaged over a hundred meters away in the snow with your phone :D
Can't really say any more about the circumstances because detective work could narrow the location quite a lot.

BTW, I'm unable to credit the photo but know that is a photo of a captive lynx in Vienna Zoo. Possibly taken by this guy https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Mpiet

Oi, I'm free....it was a miss understanding.
They are beautiful animals, and amazed that you saw it. /CSB
EDIT- Wasn't the search for the lynx used in a microsoft AI advert recently?

No idea.
I read that they're doing pretty well in Europe overall, just really struggling in the Swiss Alps due to hunting. No sure they are as rare elsewhere.

Just saw the Microsoft Ads. They're snow leopards, not Lynx.

Working at home isn’t easy when you are constantly assaulted by a very affectionate ginger cat...

poor Lady next to me in the waiting room looks very sad and is paying a lot of money. Her cat is beautiful and obviously not well. Really sad. I’m losing it getting my cat her booster so I’m counting my blessings.

Re: Money, insurance is important, without it, I would have had to pay about £3000 in total for Patch’s past illnesses and ops....
